"Forever I will stay, chasing the green light across the bay"


I've always felt a sense of longing for "something" throughout all of my life. Almost like I've lost something, and am trying to find it, and reclaim it, to make myself whole again. To this day, I don't know what that "something" is, but I still feel that sense of longing all the time.

This feeling of longing for something I have is what I consider "the green light across the bay". In the case of this song, it's about a girl, but I still don't know what the green light actually is. All I know is that I want it, and I know that if I could capture it, I'd feel whole again.
